Akari, meaning ‘light’ in Japanese, is a series of light sculptures designed by Isamu Noguchi. Inspired by these works, the Akari© scarf is made of a blend of modal and silk that diffuses light. The fine embroidery mimics the bamboo reed ‘ribs’ of the lamps, producing a result that is both highly structured and lightweight.
