New York-based artist Daniel Arsham explores the realms of fine art, architecture, performance, design, and film through his uchronic aesthetic. Centered around the concept of fictional archaeology, his multidisciplinary practice creates and crystallizes ambiguous spaces and situations, staging what he describes as "future relics of the present."
The Crystalized Seated Pikachu Edition marking the end of his collaboration with The Pokémon Company. This edition is made of light amethyst cast resin and is based on a larger sculpture of the iconic character made in Arsham Studio.
