Born in 1970, James Jarvis is an artist who bases his practice in London, U.K. As an illustrator and character designer, his innovative and pioneering means of expression that combine cartoon-style illustrations and original character figures are indeed noteworthy in light of today’s constantly transforming and expanding context of contemporary art, gaining wide recognition and acclaim within Japan.
BL♡B is a plush of Sphere, produced for Jarvis' solo exhibition Hello Bauhaus being held at PARCO MUSEUM TOKYO in 2022. Not only displaying the distinctive style of cartoon illustrations, the plush was made by Sekiguchi, a plush toy maker, known for making plush comfortable to the touch.
