M+ presents an exclusive collection with designer Theseus Chan that reimagines Red A’s iconic plastic pail. Retaining the classic silhouette while introducing layered, interwoven colours, this design turns a familiar everyday object into one with both design appeal and collectable value.
The pail also reflects the shared commitment of M+ and Theseus Chan to sustainability. Inspired by traditional printing processes, Chan repurposes the residual ink produced during the cleaning of printing machines as part of his creative process, giving each piece naturally formed, one-of-a-kind colours and patterns, and prompting reflection on everyday objects, production, and value.
